Three triathlon races marked the end of the 2010 Rainbow Warriors Triathlon
Club Fun Boot camp at Macqueripe on Saturday 17th July.
Stefon Stuven, Kristof Stuven and Johnathon Paul took top honours in the
various age groups among the boys, with Gabby Scott and Parvita Lall the
winners among the girls.
But all participants were presented with finishing medals in addition to
special medals for being "Best Behaved", "Most Helpful", "Most Improved","Most Plesant", "Team Player" and "Most Outstanding" during the eight day
camp at Kayak Center, Chaguaramas.
During the camp 23 kids were exposed to the three basic disciplines of
triathlon (swimming/cycling/running) in addition to kayaking, trail riding,
yoga, football, nnovative games, a visit to the Gasparee Caves, water skiing, and water sliding at Cascadia hotel.
Camp Director was female triathlete Maria Gooding, assisted by her brother
Jason, her dad Ian and several camp assistants.
Training for the kids and interested adults (mothers and fathers) will
continue every Sunday at Macqueripe at 7.30 am to 9.30am.
