youngsters took part in the Under-15 duathlon
with the overall winner being Joshua Ho, 10, son
of Diane Henderson, followed by Alex Navarro,
11, and John Keane, 12. Among the girls Mohini
Seejattan 12, of Penal Triathletes, was first
, followed by Shenelle Ramoo, 13, and Lee-Anna
Paul 12.
Pamenos Ballantyne of St. Vincent ran away with
top honours in the 4km run, which took place under
a heavy down pour. His time was 10:18.3, followed
by Brian Maynard in 10:25.4 and Jules LaRode in
10.25.9.
Among the ladies, Kerticia John was first in 12.13.8,
followed by Christine Regis in 13.31.4 and Dawnel
Collymore in 13.41.4.
Sponosrs of the race included Unit Trust Corporation
(UTC), Toyota, Blue Waters, Monster Energy Drink,
Eve Fruit Juices, Kraft (Bryden’s), PPGPL,
National Flour Mills, and BHP Billiton.
The successful event was orgainsed by the Rainbow
Warriorw Triathlon club, led by nine-times former
national triathlon champion Jason Gooding.
